How I came into Ultimate:
I played Sunday morning pick up with friends during undergrad.
How I came to join Saints:
I was, at first, drawn by the stadium and the huge grass field. It reminded me of the football field I played in during undergrad. Meeting this bunch of absolutely fun Frisbee players made me want to be a part of the group. And that’s how the story began.
What I like about ultimate:
SOTG, mixed-gender sport and all the jumping!
Pre-game ritual:
Irrespective of whether I’ve warmed up properly or not, I make sure my palms are nice and warm. It’s nice feeling :)
Who am I outside ultimate:
I’m a research scholar in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering. I love dismantling tech devices. Sometimes I’m successful in fixing them also and that’s how I my parents justify their investment in my education :P
Other sports I play:
I play football outside of ultimate. At various points in my life I’ve played basketball, badminton, table tennis and cricket. Don’t ask me how good I am at them.
Something unknown about me:
I follow football very closely; NBA and F1 from a distance (at a highlights-watching-level). Controversial opinion: I don’t enjoy watching ultimate all that much. But I do admit Ultimate highlight reels are absolutely peerless!
I consider myself an ordinary player and aim to be a safe player. Simple.
